How to Configure Push Notifications and Run Campaigns on Your Store

Web push notifications let you stay connected with your store visitors — even after they leave your website — by sending messages directly to their device via the browser.

Unlike emails or SMS, you don’t need to collect an email address or mobile number. Users simply give permission via their browser, and they’re instantly subscribed.

Types of Notifications You Can Send

You can send three types of web push notifications to engage your customers:

  1. Welcome Notifications

Sent automatically when a user subscribes to push notifications.

Use this to greet new subscribers, offer discounts, or guide them to key products.

    🛠️ To create or update:

    • Go to the Welcome tab in the sidebar
    • Edit the title, message, image and redirect link
    • Click Save

2. Abandoned Cart Notifications

Automatically sent when users add items to their cart but leave without checking out.

Our abandoned cart recovery flow includes three automated notifications to help you recover sales — each sent at configurable time intervals.

🛠️ To customize this automation:

  • Go to the Abandoned Cart tab in the sidebar

You’ll see three notification slots (Notification 1, 2, and 3)

    For each one, you can:

    • Edit the title and message
    • Set the delay (e.g., send Notification 1 after 30 minutes, Notification 2 after 2 hours, etc.)
  • The product image and link are added automatically, based on the customer’s abandoned cart

📌 Example:

  • Notification 1: “Forget something? Complete your order now!” (after 30 minutes)
  • Notification 2: “Still interested? Your cart is waiting.” (after 2 hours)
  • Notification 3: “Final reminder! Checkout before your cart expires.” (after 24 hours)

3. Campaign Notifications

Manual or scheduled notifications for sales, product launches, or announcements.

🛠️ To create a campaign:

  • Go to the Campaigns tab
  • Click Create Campaign
  • Add a title, message, image, and URL
  • Choose to send now or schedule for later
  • Click Send

🌟 Sample Campaign Examples

Message: Explore fresh styles designed for sunshine. Limited stock — shop now!

2. Flash Sale

Title: ⚡ 24-Hour Flash Sale — Ends Tonight!

Message: Get 20% off sitewide. No code needed. Don’t miss out — tap to shop now.

3. Low Stock Alert

Message: Popular items are selling out fast. Grab yours before it’s too late!

Managing User Consent (via "Push Settings" Tab)

Before sending push notifications, users must allow them through their browser. You can fully

how this prompt is shown.

🔧 To configure consent behavior:

  • Go to the Push Settings tab

    Choose a consent method:

    • Direct Browser Prompt: Shows the browser popup immediately
    • Soft Prompt First: Shows a custom message before triggering the browser prompt (recommended)
  • Configure re-prompt delay if user denies permission (e.g., retry after 7 days)
  • Optionally enable the Floating Bell Icon for continuous opt-in visibility
  • Click Save

📸 Screenshots below show examples of both the soft prompt and browser permission prompt.

🧠 Best Practices

  • Use the soft prompt + bell icon combo for maximum opt-ins
  • Welcome messages should be warm and value-driven
  • Use abandoned cart flow to recover revenue with minimal effort
  • Schedule campaigns around product launches, sales, and restocks
  • Keep titles short and benefit-driven to increase click-throughs
