How do I configure custom install messages?

Merchants on a paid plan users can set customized install messages that tell their customers to install the app. 

To configure messages, Click on Install Popups on your Admin Panel. This will take you to Android Configuration. As Android and iOS have different install experiences for customers, we recommend setting configurations for both types of devices. 

You will see a choice between Info Bar and Install Modal which decide the size of the pop-up. Please note that you can use only one of the mini-info bar or install modal.

The Install Modal is a full screen pop-up while the info Bar is more discreet and allows you to choose between a small pop-up (the Mini option) under info and a larger popup (the Enhanced option).  

For the option Install Modal, the Install header will help you customize your message to customers or give them a call to action. Most merchants choose to highlight Benefits. To add a new benefit, just click on the Add benefit button, to delete a benefit click on the garbage can on the right of each benefit. 

Note: For iOS,  we recommend adding in the install instructions to install: Click on the  share, scroll  down and then click [+] Add to Home Screen 

The changes you make will be live on the right part of the screen so you can iterate on those until you're completely happy with the setup. Don't forget to click SAVE when done. 

Note: You can configure when your customers see install pop-ups by setting up triggers. Read more here: Triggers and how to customize it

Note: Sometimes, when your phone has already cached your store, the install pop-up won't be shown. This is because once we show the pop-up, we don't show it again for a while as it can intrude on the user experience. All you need to do is to clear the cache, access your shop again, and the prompt should show up.
