Uninstalling AMP by AmpifyMe

Note: We recommend unpublishing all your pages for at least a few days before uninstalling The AMP App. 

We will remove all data except the small snippet in your theme.liquid file. While there is no harm in leaving it there (it won't slow down your website or cause any issues), if you want to remove it you have to remove it manually as we won't have permission to do so.

First, you need to access your  theme code. Go to your Shopify theme dashboard > Actions > Edit code

In the Layout section,  choose theme.liquid - it should look like in the picture below.

The snippet is:

After removing these 3 lines of code, your store will be as it was before installing Amp by AmpifyMe.

We are sad to see you go but please let us know your feedback or suggestions about our app so we can keep improving it for the benefit of our users. 

Note: Before uninstalling your pages, we recommend unpublishing your pages a few days prior. While not necessary, this will reduce the 4xx errors that may occur as Google takes time to update the changes and de-index your AMP pages.
